A commercial motorcyclist and dad of two identified as Ishaya reportedly slumped and died after standing for long hours on a queue at the NNPC petrol station in Kubwa, Abuja, due to fuel scarcity. According to eyewitnesses, it was almost his turn to buy the fuel when the unfortunate incident happened. He was subsequently rushed to the Kubwa General hospital where he was confirmed dead. It is thought that he slumped due to exhaustion.
