Mum Sells Her 3-Month-Old Baby in Bayelsa

A 28-year-old mum has reportedly been arrested for selling her three-month-old baby in Bayelsa State.
According to Punch, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Asinim Butswat, said in a statement on Wednesday that the suspect, Oyikepreye Enoch, sold the baby girl to a 30-year-old woman, Esther Tony for N300,000.
He said,
“Detectives from the Akenfa Police Station, Yenagoa, have arrested one Oyikepreye Enoch, female, 28 years, for allegedly selling a three-month-old baby girl to one Esther Tony, female, 30.
The suspect sold the baby, who is her child, for N300,000. Enoch and Tony are undergoing interrogation at the Akenfa Police Station, Yenagoa.”
He added that investigation was ongoing to ascertain her motive for selling her baby.
And what 300,000? Poverty is indeed a disease
