A man in New York has sued his ex-fiancée because she broke up with him but hasn’t returned the $30,000 custom-made engagement ring he gave to her.
According to Dailymail, 45-year-old Philip Langer proposed to 43-year-old Ashley Jae Chesler just three months after they met at a Manhattan bar with a custom-made engagement ring with featured a 2.52 carat diamond surrounded by 34 rubies and another 55 smaller diamonds.
Few months ago, Ashley called off the engagement, but yet to return the beautiful engagement ring to her former fiance.
Langer has now sued Ashley to court, claiming since the engagement was called off, Ashley is required to return the ring to him. He is pleading the judge forces Ashley to give him the ring or pay him the $30,000 it cost to make the ring.
According to her LinkedIn page, Ashley attended Colorado State University for broadcast journalism and works as a business development executive.
It’s a kinda tradition, when you brake-up an engagement, you return the ring.
