AMAZING! 6-Month-Old Baby Rescued Uninjured 4 Days After Building Collapse
A 6-month-old baby has been pulled out alive and uninjured after spending four days underneath the rubble of a collapsed building in Nairobi, Kenya.
The 6-storey building had collapsed during heavy rain, killing at least 23 people. A number of others are still thought to be trapped under the rubble, but hopes of finding more victims alive are fading.
According to Kenya Red Cross officials, the baby girl, Dealeryn, was found wrapped in a blanket inside a bucket at 04:00 local time (01:00 GMT), looking dehydrated with no visible injuries.
She was immediately referred to Kenyatta National hospital for treatment.
Hours later, the baby’s father, Ralson Saisi Wasike was located and reunited with her.
When the baby’s father was interviewed at a shelter where he has been living since the building collapsed, he said he had feared for the worst when he was unable to find her, adding that he had gone to hospitals and mortuaries in search of her.
He added that though he is overjoyed about his daughter’s safety, he is unhappy as his wife is still missing.
