Nigerian Pilot, Yusuf Majeed, Excited After A Rewarding Trip Flying His Mum
A first flying experience for most people is a memorable one, but imagine how much more rewarding it would be to actually be flown by your own son! One Nigerian mum just had the experience of a lifetime when she found herself aboard a plane, that unbeknownst to her would be flown by her son. Her pilot son, Yusuf Majeed, shared the story on his Twitter handle with photos of himself and mum after the flight.
When parents make sacrifices and put the needs of their child before theirs, and the selfless love pays off with children who grow into accomplished adults with a keen sense of duty and appreciation, it truly is one of the most rewarding times for any parent.
Captain Yusuf in his Twitter thread narrated that his mother had no idea when she boarded the flight that her son was to pilot the plane. Yusuf who apparently knew his mum would be on his flight, announced from the cockpit before the commencement of the trip, that it was the happiest day of his life to be blessed with the opportunity to fly his mum. It was at that point that his mother recognised the voice of the pilot to be that of her son and expectedly was filled with joy.
In his exact words, he said he began the flight announcement with the following words:
“Today’s the happiest day of my life as God’s blessed me with an Opportunity to fly the love of my life, my mother and although it’s nothing compared to carrying me for 9 months, it’s been the greatest previlege of my life”
