How Jealous Mum-Of-Two, Hauwa Habibu Outrageously Took Out Her Marital Frustrations On Her Children
In a fit of blind rage, a Nigerian mum, Hauwa Habibu has tragically taken out her frustrations on her two children.
The Kano State Police Command has arrested 26-year-old Hauwa over the alleged killing of her two children, Irfan, 6, and Zahra, 3, at Diso Quarters in Gwale Local Government Area (LGA) of the state.
Hauwa’s actions were said to have been spurred by jealousy after her husband took a second wife. It was gathered that the incident occurred on Saturday morning, October 3 in Diso village, Gwale Local Government Area of the state, when the husband went to his second wife’s place to spend some time.

The uncle of the deceased children, Sadiq Haruna Aminu, who confirmed the incident said his sister-in-law had been living with envy and jealousy ever since his brother married another wife.

Sadiq, the children’s younger uncle, said his brother got married to a new wife two months ago.
“The incident happened when the husband was away and in his new wife’s place.
His eldest wife, Hauwau ‘called him on phone this morning that all was not well in their house only for him to return to the house and meet the lifeless bodies of the children in the pool of blood.
She carried out the atrocities and ran away from the house”,
he said.
“She beat the children and used knife to cut them.
Her sister’s daughter (10-year-old) who was living with them was another victim but she survived with cuts on her hand and she is the witness when the incident happened.
We don’t know her whereabouts at the moment because we spoke with security operatives. We learnt she went to her parent’s house.

Spokesman of the Kano Police Command, DSP Abdullahi Haruna, who confirmed the development in a statement while parading the suspect in Kano on Sunday, October 4, said the police received information that the suspect allegedly hacked her two children to death with a cutlass.
“On the 03/10/2020 at about 1130hrs, information received revealed that one Hauwa’u Habibu ‘f’ 26 years old of Diso Quarters, Gwale LGA, Kano State attacked and killed her two biological children by name Irfan Ibrahim ‘m’ 6 years old and Zahra Ibrahim ‘f’ 3 years old and wounded one Aisha Sadiq ‘f’ 10 years old, her nephew of the same address, and fled to unknown destination,” the statement reads.
Team of detectives immediately rushed to the scene and took the victims to Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital Kano where a Medical Doctor confirmed the two children dead, whereas the said Aisha Sadiq was transferred to Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, treated and discharged,”
“The Command’s Commissioner of Police, CP Habu A. Sani, psc raised and directed a team of Operation Puff Adder led by SP Nasiru Gusau, Divisional Police Officer (DPO) Gwale Division to arrest the suspect within 24hours. The suspect was arrested on the same date at about 2250hrs,”
“On preliminary investigations, the suspect confessed to have locked up their dwelling house, used Machete and Aluminium made Pestle and attacked the three helpless children, causing severe injuries on different parts of their bodies where the quick intervention of the Police saved Aisha to live and give the horrific story.
Haruna said that the state Commissioner of Police, CP Habu Ahmad, has ordered the case to be transferred to the Homicide Section, State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), for discrete investigation.
