Kaffy Speaks To Women, Mothers On Ways To Guard Against Rising Cases Of Child Molestation In Our Society: ‘I was a victim’
A-list Nigerian dancer and fitness coach, Kafayat Shafau Ameh, popularly known as Kaffy, has counselled women on steps to take to guard against child molestation.
The 40-year-old mother of two spoke against the backdrop of recent child molestation allegation against popular Nollywood actor, Baba Ijesha, who sexually abused comedienne Princess foster daughter when she was only seven.
According to Princess, Baba Ijesha first assaulted the girl sexually when she was 7. Another time, he is said to have penetrated her with a key. She said the alleged act affected the girl mentally and physically as she hardly did her school work and always failed in class.
It got so bad that the school once called the girl’s biological parents and also called Princess to report that the girl was caught in school grinding her brother.
The girl kept the abuse to herself until recently when she opened up at age 14. At this point, Princess said she put up CCTV camera in the house and alleged it captured Baba Ijesha in the act.
She alleged that when he was confronted, he confessed “4 times” and blamed the devil.
In a post on Instagram, Kaffy counselled citizens, women, and mothers to guard up and take actions.
According to the dance instructor, taking action begins with standing up for what is right and putting parameters in place at home and not waiting until they are “caught on camera.” She also stressed on the place of prayers and being focused on the positive side of things.

“We take for granted a lot of delicate issues.
As a citizen, a woman, a mother, I am begging we need to guard up and take actions. We cannot be timid or worry about how we would be perceived. We need to protect the future at all cost or else there would be no future for when you become frail!
As we lay our bed we shall lie in it. I have always mentioned that the way forward for us in this nation starts in the HOME.
In fact, before the making of a home, the marriages themselves and it’s not only married people that provide a home for children, like @princesscomedian so many amazing people are out there helping to raise tomorrow’s leaders and members of this nation.
We need to stand up for what is right and start putting a lot of parameters in place at home. I was a victim of child molestation too (I was lucky to escape on both occasions) and so many people I know have been through this. It’s become a norm to tell these stories. We can’t wait till they are “caught on camera”.
As parents parenting is an assignment we all need to take as passionately as our desire for wealth and success.
We can’t afford to relent in prayers, we must start focused on the positive side of things, evil can never prevail, for every calamity there is victory.
We need mass therapy in this nation! Our mental health is critical at this point. Too many bad news everywhere.
People are dying alive! ?
We have identified a lot of our problems let’s start fixing our FOCUS on solutions and STAND TOGETHER.”
