Russia-Ukraine Crisis: FG Releases Public Notice For Nigerians Fleeing To Romania
Following the invasion of Russia in Ukraine, the federal government of Nigeria has announced plans to receive citizens fleeing the East European country to Romania.
This was made known on Twitter by the personal assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Digital and New Media, Bashir Ahmad.
The government announced that an arrangement has been put in place to receive them at the Romanian entry points.

Yesterday, the Federal Government listed borders Nigerians fleeing the Ukraine-Russian war can use to access Poland.
Chairman Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa recommended borders for Nigerians fleeing the crisis on Saturday February 26.
The borders are Hrebenne-Rawa Ruska, Korczowa-Krawkowiec, Medyka-Szeginie and Budomierz-Hurszew.
She noted that “Nigerian volunteer groups, as well as staff of Nigerian Embassy, will be at the border to pick Nigerians.”
Bashir Ahmad also wrote:
“The Nigerian Embassy staff, along with volunteers are at the Polish-Ukrainian borders with buses to help and pick up Nigerians crossing the border from Ukraine.

This is coming after the Nigerian Foreign Affairs Ministry said there are no fewer than 5,600 Nigerians in Ukraine, majority of who are students.
