Why Some People Get Married According To Author, Onyeka Nwelue Will Shock You
Nigerian author and filmmaker, Onyeka Nwelue has given his opinion on why people get married.
Nwelue, in a post he shared on social media, opined that many people who get married do not do so out of love.
According to Nwelue who is yet to be married, most people get married because they need a shoulder to lean on and not out of love.
He further stated that most times when people are tired of chasing their dreams alone, they get married to someone that will suffer with them
He tweeted:
“What most people do, is when they are tired of chasing their dreams alone, they get married to someone or something, for support, someone that will suffer with them. Most people who marry, are just looking for help and shoulders to lean on. Not because they love anybody.”

He added:
“The current set of people, advising me to get married, are divorcees. I know they want me to be miserable like them. But, I want to know if there is a special reason why the Devil asked them to choose me?”
