Jubilation As Former Adamawa Speaker And Wife Become Parents After 20 Years Of Waiting

Rt Hon Kabiru Mijinyawa, the former Speaker of Adamawa State House of Assembly and his wife have welcomed a set of twins, a boy and girl after 20 years of marriage.

The naming ceremony of the twins, Abdullahi and Fatima, was held on Sunday, July 9, 2023, in Yola.

The new dad, who is the incumbent Member Representing Yola South constituency, had announced the arrival of his bundles of joy in a Facebook post on July 2, 2023.

The Senior Legislative Aide on Media and Public Affairs to the former Speaker, Hon. Hussaini Ahmadu, who confirmed the joyous news said the mother and her children are hale and hearty.

“We thank God for this blessing. We are full of gratitude and thanks to God,” he wrote.

Meanwhile, friends, colleagues and supporters have taken to Facebook to celebrate the Mijinyawa family.

“After over 20 years of waiting patiently God blessed Rt.Hon. Kabiru Mijinyawa with TWINS a male & female named (Abdullahi & Fatima) Allah yaraya daiyiba,”
