‘I Can’t Be Here For The Rest Of My Life- Proud Mum, Kemi Afolabi Tells Daughter Amid Health Battle, Makes New Vow To Her

Nigerian actress/filmmaker, Kemi Afolabi has made a new promise to her daughter, Oluwadarasimi amid her battle with a terminal illness- Lupus.

Taking to her Instagram page to share a video of her on Facetime with her mini-me, the single mother revealed that her daughter is in the habit of calling her anytime she leaves the home.

Telling her to calm down, the 45-year-old momma told her she would see her in a bit. The movie star went on to tell her daughter that she can’t be with her for the rest of her life, however, she vowed that she would love her for the rest of her life.

In her words:

“Now now that I just left the house for the gym o, this girl will be calling somebody every minute, calm down my madam! See u in a bit.

Oluwadarasimi Okomi I can’t promise to be here for the rest of your life, but I promise to LOVE you for the rest of mine.”

Last year, the Nigerian entertainer opened up for the first time on her mental health challenges.

The mother of one revealed to the world that she was suffering from Lupus, adding that she had a mental breakdown over the illness.

According to the talented movie star, she battled with anxiety, exhaustion, and depression. She added that she hated everything she was going through as at then, like not having the strength to do things she loved the most made her wallow in self pity.

However, as she battled Lupus, Kemi sought help on behalf of her daughter who was in Nigeria. The single mum who had been receiving special treatment in Baltimore, Maryland, USA, returned to social media with a video of herself looking fit and healthy.

Kemi shared a caption on social media seeking assistance from Nigerians in the United States who would travel down to the country.

The actress had sought help to send gifts for her daughter, who was resuming school.
