Mary Njoku Recounts Beautiful Love Story Of Her Humble Beginning With Husband As He Turns A Year Older: ‘He Proposed 4 Days After We Met’
Nollywood star, Mary Njoku celebrated her husband’s birthday today by sharing their beautiful love story.
The ROK TV boss disclosed that their love story began with an immediate connection as her husband proposed to her after just 4 days after they started dating.
According to the mother of three, her husband expressed his deep affection by stating that he was already in love with her and wanted forever with her just a few days after they started a relationship.
Initially taken aback by the swiftness of the proposal, the movie star reflected on his sincere intentions. She also reminisced about the early days of their marriage, a time that was marked by humble beginnings.
She revealed that they used to have their mattress on the floor, share a kitchen with five other staff, and lacked amenities like clean running water. Mary even recalled fetching water while tied in a towel.
She also revealed that her husband without a car of his own, used hers, but she had known he was ambitious. Reflecting on their journey, Mary celebrated their success with throwback photos on Instagram.

“We fell in love. Started dating. And in 4 days, HE PROPOSED. ‘I am in love with you Mary. And if we cross this month, we will be together forever’ I didn’t know how to respond.
4 days was too early to be thinking of ‘forever’ | guess. But the guy get plans. ‘I was born to make the world’s silkiest moves’ He says. Funny, but believed him. He worked tirelessly and I never saw him fall asleep.
Though those days were humbling sha. Mattress on the floor. Mosquito net on the wall, No clean running water, shared kitchen with 5 staff, a so person go tie towel go fetch water, staff go dey drag space with am. He had no car yet (we used mine) But he talked big and worked
