S.A Mum Shares The ‘Nice’ Approach She Uses In Dealing With Her Child’s ‘Deadbeat’ Father
A South African woman, Pontsho Malatji, took to X (formerly Twitter) to share her approach to handling her child’s “deadbeat” father.
In a now-viral post, Malatji shared a screenshot of a WhatsApp conversation in which she provided detailed instructions to the child’s father regarding contributions for their child’s needs.
The message outlined specific requirements for the child, including clothing sizes, school uniform needs, and costs for extracurricular activities like a soccer kit and awards ceremonies.
She also included provisions for groceries and other daily expenses. Malatji firmly concluded the message, stating,
“Talking to a child that you do nothing for, should be the last thing on your mind right now.”
Captioning the post, Malatji wrote, “Deal with deadbeats nice nice.”

1. If you want to send money, please use my account no: Nedbank and you know my name.
2. Your child wears size 11/12 on t.shirts then on Jeans it’s 10/11 if you decide to buy him clothes for Christmas.
3. New school uniform is needed, that also includes stationery for 2025 if you decide to assist.
4. His soccer kit needs to be replaced and also needs soccer new boots and this is the 4th pair for this year, nakhona if you decide to help and there’s also Awards happening on first Week of December, since he’s been selected, contribution is expected.
5. If you decide to contribute on grocery and lunch box thing, just know he’s still lactose intolerant.
