Nairabet Boss, Akin Alabi, And Other Twitter Users Decry The Plight Of Single Mums After Job Opening Discrimination
Single mums hardly pretend about their plight and the prejudice they are often faced with in society. If anyone has doubted them before now, Nairabet boss and newly elected House of Representatives member, Akin Alabi has shared some proof. The entrepreneur who is typically vocal about the welfare of women shared a photo of an unnamed organisation’s recruitment terms that clearly warns single mums to stay away.
The job specifications in the advert asked for single female applicants but insisted single mothers need not apply. The entrepreneur who was obviously offended by such discrimination against the same category of women whom he has always spoken for, accused the society of hypocrisy, one that would rather have single women abort their pregnancies.
He wrote:
“Single mothers not allowed. I’M UPSET. We are a society that will rather have you abort.’
Web users shared the lawmaker’s sentiments and accused the organization of discrimination, and the promotion of abortion for single women who wish to build a career.
