Charly Boy Expresses Gratitude As He Recounts Near Death Experience With Prostate Cancer
Renowned songwriter and entertainer, Charles Oputa, popularly called Charly Boy has expressed gratitude as he voiced out on his recent battle with prostate cancer calling himself a ‘Prostate Cancer Survivor’.
In an Instagram post, the 73-year-old grandpa recounted his experience battling the deadly disease and how he ‘cheated death’ this year.
In the video, the socialite could be seen on the hospital bed in a weak state while many health professionals surrounded him.
Narrating in the caption, Charly Boy explained how the deadly disease has taken many innocent lives but he was spared.
In his words;
“Many things bin happen dis year 2023.
The good, the bad and the ugly.
But most importantly, I cheated death for something wey no suppose kill us but has killed many.

This attracted reactions from Fans and well wishers who sent him prayers and words of encouragement.
The seasoned musician had previously discussed his fight with cancer in public. In September, he said in an interview that men should be open to seek treatment for prostate cancer and has since pushed for men to get examined for the disease.
