Sex Shop Assault: Senator Elisha Abbo About To Pay Heavily For His Crime Against Nursing Mum, Osimibibra Warmate
Remember (Senator) Elisha Abbo? Nigeria’s youngest senator that physically assaulted a nursing mum, Osimibibra Warmate in a sex toy shop in May 2019? It looks like the heavy arm of the law has caught up with him finally; after he managed to evade justice for over a year now.
Abbo has been asked by a magistrate court sitting in Abuja to pay the sum of N50 million as compensation to Osimibibra for assaulting her.
An interesting development that has been met with a lot of cheer by online social media users after the outrage in July 2020 when a court dismissed charges against Abbo.
The new judgment comes after Osimibibra Warmate initiated a civil claim for damages. Lugard Tare-Otu and Nelson who identified themselves as Warmate’s lawyers confirmed the court’s verdict on Twitter.
”Remember that video of a Nigerian senator slapping/assaulting a young lady at a shop?
Well justice was served today with the court slamming the sum of N50M against the Senator.
I am delighted to have represented that young lady in this suit. We say no more to oppression,”
Nelson said.
