UPDATE: Autopsy Result Of 19-Month-Old Obinna Udeze Who Was Flogged By His Teacher Has Been Released | Details
The autopsy carried out to ascertain the cause of death of 19-months old pupil of Arise and Shine Nursery and Primary School, Asaba, Delta State, Obinna Udeze who was allegedly flogged 31 strokes of the cane by his teacher, is out and according to the report, the toddler died of septic shock.
”The autopsy report indicates septic shock as the cause of death. That is what I can say, for now, let the medical doctors and lawyers interpret what that means.”
Septic shock, according to Google, is a severe drop in blood pressure that results in highly abnormal problems with how cells work and produce energy. Progression to septic shock increases the risk of death.
According to another report, Gift Ohanazeze, the mother of Obinna Udeze, also says autopsy result showed that her son died of “Septic Shock.”
According to her, the Pathologist who conducted the autopsy had informed that Obinna’s death was caused by Septic Shock which resulted from the severe beating he got from his school’s teacher.
Speaking to SaharaReporters on Tuesday, Ohanazeze noted that following the result of the autopsy conducted, the Delta State government will charge the case to court. She said,
“They said that septic shock led to his death. The beating led to high blood pressure wish is one of the causes of septic shock. We are waiting to go to the court, the government will charge them to court.”
