Funke Akindele Finally Speaks On The Reason For Separation From Husband, JJC Skillz
Nigerian actress and politician, Funke Akindele has finally opened up on her split from estranged husband, Abdul Rasheed Bello popularly known as JJC Skillz.
In a recent interview with LegitNG, the mother of two disclosed why her marriage with JJC Skillz didn’t work out as expected by the public.
According to the movie producer, their vision as a couple no longer aligned and that their dreams of what their marriage should look like was no longer there.
Speaking further, she said they had decided to call it quits since there was no longer any point in staying together, and all their efforts to make it work proved abortive.
“Well, the truth is our dreams and vision of what our marriage should be just no longer aligned. And efforts to make it work all fell on deaf ears, so why hang around.”
It would be recalled that in June, 2022, JJC Skillz took to social media to reveal that himself and Funke were no longer together as a couple to the surprise of many (Read Here).
He disclosed that the last two years of their marriage has been extremely difficult and that he has moved out of their home.
He further confirmed that Funke asked him to leave her house and has refused any form of amicable communication with him.
According to him, their marriage is now beyond repairs and at the time of making the announcement he is looking at how they can co-parent with ease and manage their joint business.
Funke and JJC Skillz had their wedding in August 2016 and welcomed a set of twins in 2018.
