Church Leader Narrates How His Wife’s Repentance Saved Their Marriage After He Cheated On Her
A theologian has revealed that he cheated on his wife but his wife was the one whose repentance saved their marriage.
Gary M. Parcel, who is the author of ‘Priest & Leader’, explained that he had an affair in 2006 and when his wife found out, she accepted the sin of “withholding” which “she had committed” that “lured” him to be unfaithful to her.
He said her repentance and accountability is the reason they are still married. He added that he was the one who forgave his wife for making him cheat because he walks in forgiveness.
The clergyman wrote:
“When I had my affair in 2006, my wife and I were able to reconcile because of her willingness to accept the sin of withholding, she had committed, which lured me into a situation like that. We are still married today because of her repentance and accountability. Praise God!”
A follower wrote: “And your willingness to forgive her is a great example of marital leadership.
And the author responded: “Yes, Wendell! Very true. I always want to lead by example, in the covenant of my marriage.”
