See How This Married Couple Met
Patsy Sutton, 60, added John Neeley, 61, accidentally on Facebook thinking he was her former classmate from decades before. Now, the duo are in-love and married.
According to Mirror UK, 61-year-old John just happened to be a stranger with the same name who actually went to a school that coincidentally had the same name – only 400 miles away.
Despite the mix-up, the pair began to exchange messages.
As the conversation developed, so did their relationship, first chatting over the phone and then meeting in person and then leading to the pair walking down the aisle.
Patsy, from Georgia, US, had two failed marriages and had been dating online but never found anyone.
After speaking online for weeks, Patsy and John exchanged phone numbers.
The pair began to speak every day, sometimes staying up until the early hours of the morning talking.
“John was always such a gentleman,” Patsy said. “He’d like and comment on my posts and tell me I was beautiful. We began to talk more and more. My grandson even told me to ask John on a date as he noticed we were always messaging. I wasn’t nervous at all the first time I spoke to him, we’d become such good friends that we could talk about anything,” she said.
In November 2010, they met in person for the first time when he went to visit her in Jackson, Mississippi, where she lived at the time.
“When I first saw John in person we couldn’t stop hugging and kissing,” she said.
“People were walking and driving by but we just stood there and looked at each other for what seemed like hours. I cried when he had to leave.”
A month later, he returned for Christmas, bringing with him a pet puppy for her children – and a marriage proposal for her.
“I was floored when he asked me to marry him, it was so romantic,” she said.
Patsy has now moved 400 miles from Mississippi to live with him in Georgia.
“Now, John and I happily married and living with our 12 dogs. We have a wonderful life together. He is everything I ever prayed for – and I owe it all to an accidental Facebook add,” she said.
How did you meet your husband?
Nice one. God connect people in mysterious way.
Wow happy for them. As for me I met my man in the bank. I remember escorting a friend to the bank n my friend passed my hubby n greeted other man cause hubby then was still in his working outfit(Engr) n I first greeted him despite de fact he wasn’t well dressed n immediately he told me u re my wife…. The rest is history but funny enough that friend realising that hubby is well to do betrayed me but thank God for hubby who exposed her n banned me from associating with such people.. Its a long story though but I thank God for everything
Awww happy for them
Well, good for them.
Awwwww this is so lovely and romantic. I met my current boyfriend on Facebook and hopefully it should end well. This has inspired me more lool. Thanks MIM for sharing this story.
We joined the church drama unit the same day, after a while we naturally became ‘harmless casual friends’ then two years later he proposed and we did courtship for nine months before getting married.
Good for them, wishing all those dt met on social network will end this way…my hubby came to visiting his brother who was our neighbor then, the next is that we are happily married
Nice one though, people meet in every good and odd places.

I met my husband in church, we joined the same department the same day, and were coincidentally paired for our first evangelical outing! We were just friends with no strings attached for a few years before we realized that we were meant for each other. The rest is now history!
