Actor, Tobey Maguire And Wife, Jennifer Meyer, Announce Split After 9 Years Of Marriage

Spiderman actor, Tobey Maguire and his wife of nine years, Jennifer Meyer, have announced their divorce.

In a joint statement released to People, they said:

“After much soul searching and consideration we have made the decision to separate as a couple. As devoted parents, our first priority remains raising our children, Ruby, 9, and Otis, 7, together with enduring love, respect and friendship.”

Maguire, 41, and 39-year-old jewellery designer, Meyer, met in early 2003 and were married four years later in an intimate wedding ceremony in Hawaii attended by a small group of family and friends.

Maguire, who has admitted to having a rocky childhood, also previously revealed that settling down and finding stability were big priorities in his life. Sadly, things have now taken an unexpected turn.
