Meet Russian Actor, 84, & His New 24-Year-Old Wife

A popular 84-year-old Russian actor, Ivan Krasko, has tied the knot with his former student, whom he is 60 years older than, and announced they are set to start a family.

According to DailyMail, the legendary actor married his 24-year-old fiancée, Natalia Shevel, whose family he’s yet to meet, in a secret ceremony yesterday in St Petersburg.

Mr Krasko, who turns 85 in two weeks has been married three times and has 6 children and 3 grandchildren. He met his new wife when he was teaching at university where she wrote him poetry which he said made a ‘huge impression’ on him.

The actor said: ‘As a result of her words, I started to feel like a man in a way that I thought had long since vanished. But it was like being rebooted, and something which was missing returned.’

Despite criticism from many, the couple have described their relationship as a ‘match made in heaven’.

Mr Krasko added: ‘Naturally she has some worries about the future, but for me this is an exciting new time in my life.’

When a journalist implied the marriage was a stunt by his young wife to hit it big in no time, Mr Krasko rejected the idea, saying that though she was currently unemployed, he would not be attempting to boost her career through his social standing.

His sons are pretty suspicious too, as he said one of the first things they asked him was who will be getting the family’s country estate, but he assured them that nothing in his will would be changed.
