Mariah Carey Reveals Why She’s Rushing to the Altar With Billionaire Fiancé
The 45-year-old pop star who got engaged to Australian billionaire, James Packer, in January, has revealed plans for their wedding will kick off as soon as she returns from her Vegas residency and filming for her reality show.
Asked why the wedding is coming up so soon, Mariah who has twin boys with ex, Nick Cannon, told Style Magazine,
“I try not to take things for granted. I am very traditional. I have babies, it’s more appropriate. I don’t know if most people can relate to that, but that’s just how I feel. If I start talking about this relationship, people will interpret it in their own way, so I think it’s safer for everyone involved to just not talk about the very personal aspect.”
According to TMZ, the upcoming wedding will be a private affair with only 50 guests on the exclusive island of Barbuda in the Caribbean where Packer is currently building a private $250 million resort.
Mariah is reportedly inviting a small group of friends, who will be flown in on private jets.
Though there’s no word on the exact date of the wedding, it is speculated that the wedding will hold sometime after mid-June.
