Divorce Drama: Mary J. Blige’s Estranged Hubby, Kendu, Reportedly Demands Spousal Support
A few months ago, American singer, Mary J. Blige, pulled the plug on her marriage to her husband and manager Martin “Kendu” Isaacs by filing for divorce after 12 years of marriage (read here).
The 45-year-old celebrity star’s divorce from her estranged hubby has now taken a complicated turn, with Isaacs‘ financial demands coming to the light.
According to TMZ, he has requested for spousal support and financial assistance for lawyer fees. The details were included in his response to the singer’s divorce petition but in her documents, Mary J said she wants the court to block him from getting it.
While the legendary singer cited a “to be determined” termination date for their marriage, Kendu lists July 25.
While they were still married, Mary J., who is currently prepping for her world tour and new album, kept her marriage off social media but praised Kendu for helping her deal with some of her past demons.
