Hollywood Actor Cuba Gooding Jr. Loses His 72-Year-old Dad

Hollywood actor Cuba Gooding Jr’s dad, Cuba Gooding Sr, has been found dead in his car at the age of 72. The Sun Uk reports that authorities suspect he died from an overdose.

The police found him slumped over in his car, and a fire crew arrived at the scene around 1pm and attempted CPR, but could not revive him. Containers of alcohol were found, as a result, they suspect he overdosed on alcohol.

The late father of the award winning Oj Simpson star, Cuba Gooding Jr, was a popular soul singer in the Seventies. He was the lead singer of the band The Main Ingredient, best known for their 1972 hit Everybody Plays the Fool.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Gooding and three other children: Cuba, Omar, an actor, Tommy, a musician, and April, an actress. He died exactly a week before he would have turned 73.
