Dear MIMsters: I Desperately Want a Baby. Should I Proceed with the Herbalist or Not?

Dear MIMsters: I Desperately Want a Baby. Should I Proceed with the Herbalist or Not?

I have been TTC for almost four years now. I was diagnosed with fibroids, and later blocked fallopian tubes. I have been making all effort using both orthodox and unorthodox options. My elder sister suggested I try traditional herbalist though I had tried using herbs before but I stopped because I wasn’t comfortable with it

I travelled dow to the village to meet the woman my sister told me about. She told me that she will give me herbs which I am to drink for three months during and after menses. She said if I conceive within the first month of drinking the herbs, that I ‘MUST’ send back the remaining herbs to her no matter where I live. Secondly, she said I must tell her when I conceive so that she can give me something to rub on my tummy.

I became so suspicious after this discussion and replayed my conversation with this woman to my sister. Now, there’s another woman who introduced the herbalist woman to my sister. This woman is now pregnant after being treated by the herbalist. My sister called her and she explained that the reason for rubbing the herb on the stomach after conception is to avoid miscarriage.

I am quite confused and scared about the whole thing and I just want to advice to know whether to proceed or not. I am scared of having a child that is not from God.

  • Ahhhh don’t do it oh. Nothing free comes with the devil. Don’t go and be given a baby you will later regret. Wait on God, he is still in the business of blessing people.
