Black Sunday: Blood bath at Sunday Mass in a Church in Ozubulu, Anambra

An unknown number of people have reportedly been killed at St Phillip’s Catholic Church in Ozubulu, in Anambra state during a Sunday mass.

Gunmen had invaded the church according to witnesses, during the 6:00 am mass.

Security personnel have cordoned off the church, which has since been deserted by worshippers.

According to some witnesses, the gunmen, who were masked and heavily armed had gone up to a man in particular and shot him.

They subsequently opened fire in the church and reports are yet to confirm the numbers dead or injured.

Willie Obiano, governor of the state, and Garba Umar, commissioner of police in Anambra, have visited the scene of the attack.
