Dear MIMsters: Should I Still Hang On to This Relationship?

Should I still hang on to this relationship?

I travelled for over 3 months and before I returned, my boyfriend was with another woman.

While I was away, we spoke often on the phone. He did complain about my being away and told me he needs me to come back. I would tell him my travel was necessary and that I will soon be back.

We loved each other and he was not one to double date. I don’t know what came over him. I feel bad because we loved each other so much.

On this day, when they were together, this other woman used my BF’s number to call me. I could hear him ask her why she called me. She hung up and neither of them picked when I tried to call back severally. They finally switched off the phone when my calls became persistent.

Later that evening,  in the evening, my boyfriend WhatsApped me to say that he will call me later, that he is sorry. When he picked my call later, he told me that I am disturbing them and that I should not call him again.

I felt so bad with myself. I was very disappointed and it made me cry. I have suffered so much and everyone knows.

Anyways, I made up my mind to move on with my life. Months later, he started calling me but I did not pick his call. He continued calling but I did not pick. When I finally did one day, I told him never to call again but he said it not yet over between us, that he still loves me.

He claimed he thought that I will dump him, hence his reason for taking a walk first to reduce the pain and said he still loves me. He begged me to forgive him.

To cut the story short, my friends started pleading with me to give him another chance because he is so caring and the type of man many women pray to marry. He started calling me everyday and we talked. When he didn’t call yesterday, I called him around 7:15pm and this other woman answered to tell he he is unavailable.

I am an easy going woman who avoids trouble so I only told her to tell him I called. Since then, I have been unhappy. A friend told me not to call him again and I should tell him not to call me again whenever he calls.

Did I tell you he compares me with his other woman. He tells me that I’m so special to him and that I’m far better than her. I need your advice on this.
