Would You Try This Watermelon Lemonade Recipe?

Watermelon is a delicious and refreshing fruit that’s also good for you. It contains only 46 calories per cup but is high in vitamin C, vitamin A and many healthy plant compounds. Drinking water is an important way to keep your body hydrated. However, eating foods that have a high water content can also help. Interestingly, watermelon is 92% water.

Lemon is a great complement for watermelon, it’s also rich in vitamin C, promotes hydration, weight loss, improves skin quality, freshens breath and helps prevent kidney stones.

Made with just a few simple and natural ingredients, this refreshing drink can be whipped up in just a couple of minutes.


  • 1 litre / 4 cups sparkling water
  • 300g / 3 cups cubed watermelon
  • juice of 2 lemons
  • 2 tsp honey
  • fresh mint and ice to serve


Step 1:

Add the sparkling water, watermelon, lemon juice and honey to a blender and blitz until smooth.

Step 2:

Strain the lemonade through a sieve into a jug to remove any seeds.

Step 3:

Serve immediately over ice and with a sprig of fresh mint.
