This is a collection of an awe-inspiring, beautiful moments of mom & babes first meet captured through the eyes of the lens, and the pictures are breathe-taking. Babies are just sweet little cuties that fills the heart with warmth and love. They are wonderful.
A photographer has shared incredible photos taken of mothers and their babies in the delivery room. Paula Galvão, from Natal, Brazil, captures the special first moments of a baby’s life.
One extraordinary picture shows a newborn being delivered while still in the amniotic sac, while another shows a new mother and baby meeting for the first time.
Meanwhile, one moving shot shows a woman in the hours before giving birth, kneeling on the floor and holding onto her partner for support while having contractions.
Paula, 39, started to take photographs like these after the birth of her own daughter, Ingrid, now aged 17.
Paula said she works all hours of the day as a baby can come at any time, but feels ‘very happy and fulfilled’ by her job, explaining how ‘each birth brings a different emotion’.

5. Here’s another shot of a baby still encased in the amniotic sac at birth. While this birth is extremely rare, it’s safe for Mum & Baby.
During pregnancy, your baby is surrounded by the cushioning of a fluid-filed pillow called the amniotic sac, which, in addition to the mucous plug blocking your cervix, is an extra layer of protection from bacteria and viruses in the outside world during fetal development.

The amniotic sac also encases both the placenta and the umbilical cord; oxygen and nutrients pass from your bloodstream through the placenta to your baby via the umbilical cord — it’s how your baby survives and thrives in uterus.
Sometimes, but not always; a Mum knows she’s about to go into labour when her water breaks, or the fluid-filled amiotic sac bursts. But in some highly rare births, the sac never ruptures and the baby is born with a fully-intact amniotic sac.
That’s exactly what happened in this incredible image taken by @danielajustusfotografia and the old wives tale is that Babes born like this will be full of promise and great things.
1 in 80,000 babies are born en caul and only 5% of babies are born on their due date. This little babe achieved both… absolutely amazing!!!.
