Daddy Freeze Warns Nigerian Mums Against This Common Practice Amongst Them | See If You’re Guilty!
On Air Personality, Daddy Freeze has warned mothers to cease from this common practice of taking money from their kids with the intentions of not paying back.
The dad-of-three said this while reacting to the post of an Instagram user who claimed he borrowed his mum money to buy a bag and when it was time to pay back she gave him funny excuses.
The account with the handle, @Dekunle27 wrote,
“I borrowed someone € 350 to buy bag, e reach time to collect am back, she’s telling me she carried me for nine months.”
In response to this, Freeze stated that mothers should be careful of what they normalize, adding that the act of borrowing money from their kids and not repaying it back is manipulation under disguise and should be avoided.
His full post reads:
“Let’s be careful of what we normalize. This is NOT cute! It’s downright manipulative.- If your mother wants you to dash her money, she should come out and say so!
Also as a child you are obliged to give HER whatever you CAN AFFORD for a bag. Health, shelter etc are priorities, not a bag. But if you can afford it, buy it for her, but be firm enough to let her know that a loan must be repaid.
