Custody Battle: ‘This System Failed Me. This Is The Saddest Day Of My Life’ – OAP Dotun Says As He Gives Update About His Kids
On-air personality, Dotun Kayode has expressed his sadness over his inability to see his daughters.
The media personality who has been calling out his estranged wife, Taiwo Oyebanjo and her family members over his inability to see their daughters, disclosed that he found out that they have been taken out of the country since June 2023.
This revelation comes amid a backdrop of legal custody arrangements, social media controversies, and allegations of humiliation during their marriage.
In an Instagram post, Taiwo explained her side of the tale, revealing that a court decision from June 2022 gave both parents shared custody of their kids during special occasions and holidays.
In July of the same year, the dad-of-two allegedly exercised his privilege to spend more than a month with their kids, according to Taiwo.
However, in a rebuttal, Dotun has taken to his page to refute claims that he has access to his kids. According to him, he has information from a legitimate source that his kids were no longer in Nigeria.
“This is the saddest day of my life,” he wrote.
He dared the ex-wife to send the location of the kids if they were truly in Nigeria as she claims. He wrote:
“It is so tough being a man or human being. Once you are different or overly edgy; you are stereotyped and it doesn’t matter if you did it or didn’t. “silence” is only golden when it’s a man.
It’s (24 hours) and let me just tell it as it is; I have not seen my kids and they have been flown out of the country since June. This is the hardest thing to bear but I won’t fight here anymore. Oh this system failed me.
This is one of the saddest days of my life. I keep seeing things happen to some people but I never thought it would be me. It’s time to take a different dimension.”

He earlier wrote:

You claim I blocked you, when indeed you were the one that blocked me on all lines, social media and even the phone number that the children could reach me on. Taiwo, please tell me, did I block my children’s phone number too? You claim you said I could have the kids for Festive Period when in fact you said I could not have them at all.
I have attached a screen recording of my chat with you where you stated categorically, that the kids are spending the festive season with you. I have also attached my messages to you from 14 December 2022 to July 2023 which did not deliver after you blocked me!
You said in your statement that since I filed the Contempt charge, I didn’t reach out. How would you have received my messages when you have blocked me everywhere and even categorically told me that I would not be able to have the kids!! Till today, I remain blocked on your Phone!
