‘My Husband Was Able To Stand The Test Of Time’ -Celebrity Mum, Sola Kosoko On Her Marriage

Nollywood actress and film director, Sola Kosoko -Abinna has given fans a glimpse into her married life.

The movie star, in an interview with colleague, Biola Bayo revealed that she met her husband when she was 20 years and by that time, he had finished his tertiary education.

According to the 43-year-old mother of three, she never had it in mind to marry her husband because of their religion as she is a Christian and he is a Muslim.

The actress who is daughter to veteran actor, Jide Kosoko added that being able to stand the test of time made them end up together.

Sola Kosoko said:

“I actually met my husband when I was very young, I was 20 when I met him. He was already a graduate, I think he was writing his final exams in Higher Institution and he spoke to me.

My husband was able to stand the test of time. I didn’t have the mind to marry him because he is a Muslim and I am a Christian. We courted for a long time before we got married.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Sola shared her two cents on her stance about divorces, taking a stance on it, especially when it affects one’s life. She noted how when a woman is in a critical situation, she gets advice from different angles, but it is left for her to pick one.

Using a popular Yoruba adage, she stated that women should be able to decide on their own while adding that no marriage is worth one’s life.

Sola has been married for over 10 years to Abiodun Abinna and has three children – two girls and a boy.
