‘I’ve Had 5 Cesarean Sections’ – Actress, Olaide Oyedeji Spills On Her Personal Life, Daughter’s Death, And More…
Nollywood actress, Olaide Oyedeji, has opened up about her personal life.
Olaide, in an interview with her colleague in the film industry, Biola Adebayo, also spoke about her health issues, family, losing her daughter and going through five cesarean sections.
According to the single mum, when her first child, Sudan died, people criticized her, but she was unconcerned.
However, she said that she was moved when popular blogger, Gistlover claimed that Sudan died as a result of her and her baby daddy’s heavy drug use.
Olaide Oyedeji went on to say:
“My first daughter, Sudan did not enjoy life. She gave me documents, she made my life in Germany easy, and she was an angel to me. They knew everything I went through with the girl. I was like, anybody that wants to mention her name needs to put a lot of respect because what that girl went through within that short time is a lot.
“I’ve had 5 cesarean sections, Sudan, Jasmine, Ivy, Abike, and Adam, I know how it feels. I lost count of how many operations Sudan has had. It got to a stage where she had two shunts in her head.
If she wants to eat she has this tube in her stomach, that is where I pass her food. What was her offense? I gave birth to her early and she had an infection. That was the only offense Sudan had. If you asked me if would I willingly drop everything I got because of her situation for me to get Sudan back, oh I will. She looked so much like me.”
The mother of four also spoke about why she did plastic surgery. According to her, she had always wanted to transform her body but bully was the main reason she opted for body enhancement surgery.
She explained that she has been bullied from childhood till adulthood, and she is still being bullied despite having two surgeries and “a too-perfect body.”
When asked if she had always wanted to do the Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) and liposuction, Oyedeji replied:
“Yes. At age 15. I had always wanted to transform my body. I am not going to lie. Growing up, I have never had a flat tummy. This is the first time in my whole life that I am having it.
I had bums but no hips. And I was determined that I was going to do anything to be good at my field. It is a part of being good at my field. Because it adds value. And people were still bullying me.
Before they were bullying me for not having a good body, now they are bullying me for having a too-perfect body. And then I was like, f**k yeah up. It is coming mostly from women. I was like, ‘OK, this is what life is about? Do you! the world would adjust.
Before doing my body, they were insulting me so much. ‘Your body is this… Na dem list out everything wey I go do. I fixed my teeth and all that. And women are hating me for having a perfect body.
So when I was 15, people used to bully me. They bully me in school. They said I am not fine. I had scattered teeth. I was black. Then I started doing things on social media. The bullying on social media is a lot.
At a point, my body went much more when I gave birth. My stomach got bigger. My breast was sagging. My teeth was still scattered. At a point I list out what they bullied me on.”
Olaide is a Germany-based Yoruba actress, successful entrepreneur, filmmaker, and a vibrant brand influencer. She’s the CEO of Lymarkids, a fashion store for children based in Lagos.
Olaide as she’s fondly called lived in Dortmund with her second husband, an actor, Olukotan Alan and her 4 children (2 for her first husband and 2 for her 2nd husband, Olukotan) before things went rough with them.
Olukotan accused his ex-wife of kicking him out of the house in Germany and in February 2023, she received massive backlash and insult from trolls for leaving her marriage.
However, the actress tackled the trolls in a post she shared on Instagram noting that people came to her DM to rain insult and curse on her.
She warned that it was a new year and she didn’t want to start calling people out and insulting them. She also said if the marriage was good, she wouldn’t have left it.
During her interview with Vanguard in March 2023, she noted that her marriage crisis was the most embarrassing moment she had on social media.
She affirmed that she’s not ready to explain anything to anyone because it’s her life but at the right time, people will know what really happened.
