It has been medically proven that breast milk is still the best food for babies. It is said to contain appropriate amounts of carbohydrates, protein, and fat, and it also provides vitamins, minerals, digestive enzymes and hormones for the baby. Furthermore, the breast milk is said to contain antibodies and lymphocytes from the mother which helps the baby resist infections.
To this end, different moms have different methods and timing on breastfeeding their babies.
This is what a mom-of-1, and Formula One heiress, Tamara Ecclestone says about breastfeeding her 4-year-old-daughter.
On the show, ‘Loose Women’, Tamara divided opinions of moms on breastfeeding when she revealed that she still breastfeeds her 4-year-old daughter, Fifi.
The 34-year-old British socialite shocked viewers when she explained that a nightly feed is still part of Fifi’s bedtime routine.
The show opened with the model and businesswoman, Tamara who is married to Jay Rutland explaining that she was emotional when she took her daughter to her school-uniform fitting recently ahead of her last day of nursery, and before her first day of school in September.
“Now it’s only at bedtime and part of her bedtime routine. We read four stories and then she has the boob.
Then she just falls asleep, that’s her way. She doesn’t have her bottle, dummy or anything else to comfort her. And it’s happening less and less.”
The sophisticated daughter of Formula One mogul, Bernie Ecclestone has been criticized on social media over the way she is bringing up her daughter.

Despite the criticism, Tamara insists it helps them “reconnect” and settles her daughter down at the end of the day. She says;
“In the beginning I posted a picture my husband took on holiday. I didn’t think a photo of me breastfeeding Fifi would case any outrage it was just a pretty picture.
Then I knew going forward posting pictures would cause a reaction. I was happy about that in a way. I had so many people come up to me and say ‘thank you’.”
Speaking to magazine editor, Jo Elvin on her weekly podcast ‘Is It Just Me?’, Tamara who still lets her daughter sleep in bed with she and her husband, explained that she breastfeeds her daughter “three or four times a week” in the evenings to help her fall asleep.
“I think the end is pretty close because now it’s something that’s just at night times and it’s not even every night. It’s when she’s really tired – a comfort thing – or when she’s maybe a bit under the weather.
So I definitely think that, probably after the summer, she’ll be done.”
