Osinachi Nwachukwu’s Children: Blogger And Divorced Mum, Blessing Okoro Is Sounding A Note Of Caution To Women Enduring Abusive Marriages Because Of Their Children
Nigerian relationship blogger and social media personality, Blessing Okoro has shared some words of advise to women that keep saying they are in their ‘baseless’ marriages because of their children.
Blessing is a single mother of two who has had an unpleasant relationship with men. The single mum had in the past disclosed that she got married at the age of 18 and left the marriage as a result of domestic violence she suffered at the hands of her husband.
In a recent post, the relationship therapist shared a video on her page where the sister of the late Osinachi Nwachukwu was pleading for support to cater for the children of the late gospel artist.
Recall that Osinachi’s twin sister, Amarachi took to social media a few days ago to cry out for help over the welfare of the late singer’s four children.
She revealed that they are battling many challenges including their inability to pay rent and cater for the needs of the children Osinachi left behind.
Reacting to the video, Blessing revealed that she does not regret leaving her abusive marriage. According to her, she divorced her ex-husband because she wanted to protect her two children and give them a better life.
She further disclosed that her son always appreciates her for coming for him when her marriage with her husband collapsed.
Blessing also used the opportunity to advise women enduring their abusive marriages to learn from her experience and that of Osinachi.
She however urged the general public to help locate the sister of the late Osinachi in order to get her accommodation and support her and the children if possible.
She captioned her post,
“Hummmmmmmmm. Hummmmmmmmmmm.
I never regret divorcing my ex-hubby for any day, never.
I am willing to help but how do I help?
Who knows her?
How can I reach her?
Phone no, Instagram handle anything.Let me pay for their accommodations if they are in Enugu state. Help if you have any contact that we lead me to them.
Dear women, I hope you are learning.
You lie lie women that keep saying you are in baseless marriages because of your children, lies lies lies, we actually left because of our children, we left because we wanted to live to protect them and give them a better life.My son still tells me, mummy thank you for coming to get me. I still apologize to him for even staying away from him for 5 years. Because of my kids I dam society fought society, faced society, and today I can look back and be proud of myself.
Osinachi where is your church?
Osinachi where are the pastors you went to sing for with ur glorious voice?
Osinachi where is society?
Osinachi where are those people that will say?To think that you have not even been buried and your kids are already suffering
Look at your boys, look are your family, you did not even set up or establish even your sister, now see how you are punishing her with the burden of taking care of her kids and your kids.It is still us that you ran away from, the worldly people your pastor’s told you to avoid that might help you. Still, us who choose to survive, imagine we all choose to die just like you
Women women women. I wonder when you all will understand that marriage does not define you.
Stay alive.Help find Osinachi’s sister, let us help in the little way we can.
Rest In Peace osinachi.”
Osinachi died on April 8 at the National Hospital, Abuja after being allegedly subjected to years of domestic abuse from her husband, who has now been remanded by a High Court of the Federal Capital Territory in Wuse, to the Kuje Correctional Facility, pending the hearing and determination of the homicide-related suit instituted against him by the attorney general of the federation.
