Nigerian Journalist Voices His Concern Over How Some Nigerian Men Based Abroad Treat Their Wives Who Live In Nigeria
A Nigerian journalist took to social media to express shock at the manner in which some Nigerian men based abroad treat their wives who reside here in Nigeria.
Posting via his Twitter handle, Ben Figo@CallMeBenfigo wondered how in this century, a man who is based abroad could send his wife to go live with his mum, then seizes her phone to prevent her from having an affair with other men and when he wants to communicate with her, he calls his mom to give the phone to her.
His tweet reads:
”Still cannot wrap my head around the story that, in 2022, a woman is married to a man who is based abroad. She lives with her mother in law.
He seized her mobile phone (cos of ‘boys’) When he wants to communicate, he calls his mother and she gives the phone to the wife. 2022!”
