Bride Left Red-faced During Wedding After Woman Announces Groom is Married to Her

A Bulawayo woman proved smarter than her husband of 20 years when she reportedly halted his secret wedding to another woman following a tip-off on the wedding day by one of his relatives.

According to reports, the 42-year-old woman, Josephine Mhlanga, raised her hands even before the pastor finished announcing the usual ‘if there is any member of this congregation who has any reason this couple shouldn’t get married, speak now or forever remain silent.’ She then revealed that the groom, Ndidana Chimfamba, 42, was in fact her husband and father of her two children, and he could not marry another woman while she was still alive.

His scorned wife added that he often stayed out for days at a time, but she had remained hopeful that he would change.

Chimfamba, who according to family sources still slept in their home that weekend before heading to his secret wedding, reportedly stammered incoherently as his wife spilled the beans while the flustered bride-to-be tried to conceal her embarrassment. The pastor subsequently called the different parties and their families for a discussion behind closed doors.

Chifamba and his new bride, Phindile, turned the wedding into a regular party as the pastor refused to sign their marriage certificate.
