Singer Omawumi, who became a mom in 2011, gave her fans some exclusive insights into her experience with child birth.
Speaking with Sun News, the Itsekiri singer and songwriter gave her account of what it was like to be in the labour room for the first time.
“It was in June 2011. It was beautiful. It was God that just did it for me. I had already planned everything I wanted, but at the end of the day, I forgot everything. I forgot the breathing for contraction, I just dey do my own dey go. I gave birth in America and by the time the pain started I was speaking Pidgin English to the nurse. I didn’t spend more than four hours during labour. God is faithful.” She shared
The mother of two, who recently released a single album titled “Butterfly” is married to real estate mogul, Tosin Yusuf. The couple have been married for over 7 years, and together they have a daughter, Kamilah Yusuf, 6, and a baby boy who will lock two in July.
