Intriguing: Nigerians Push Back On Duncan Mighty’s Wife-Battering Refutation With a Throw Back Photo
We aren’t hearing the last of this matter anytime soon unless the puzzle surrounding how Duncan Mighty‘s wife, Vivien Nwakanwa Okechukwu got a black eye is unraveled.
An Instagram user with the handle, @okokoceline had called Duncan Mighty outfor battering and abandoning his wife, Vivien Nwakanwa Okechukwu over the weekend. She went ahead to share photos of Vivien with a swollen eye. According to her, Vivien, mom-of-2 has been enduring series of beating since she got married to Duncan Mighty.
The musician responsed to the accusation (read here) which Nigerians are not buying. The question being asked by the majority of the people is; “who gave Vivien the black eye and why didn’t Duncan Mighty address that in his response?”
Some argued the battered woman is not Duncan Mighty’s wife. This confusion is understandable, considering Vivien’s face is swollen in the photo and she looks nothing like herself but the hair on the battered woman is the same blonde braids Vivien is currently rocking. Also, the background where the photo was taken is definitely Duncan Mighty’s house.

Some went further to take a self-sponsored trip down memory lane, in order to drive home their point.
To achieve this, a 68-week-old post he made, shows that the picture of his wife’s battered face was actually taken at their home in Port harcourt, Rivers State.
In the old post, he had given ex-BBN contestant, Marvis, a shout out for visiting his mansion. Marvis was seen sitted on the same chair Vivien sat while her picture was taken after the alleged battery.
The question now is, if Duncan Mighty didn’t batter his wife (though he didn’t state this explicitly), then who did? How did she get a black eye in his house? And why isn’t Vivien speaking out?
