Wife’s Intuition About Husband Being In Danger Saves His Life

Nicole Mayhew from Saratoga Springs, UT, was at work Monday morning when she got a strong feeling that something had happened to her husband.
The mother of three told ABC News:

“I had this feeling come over me that I needed to go home and check on my husband.”

When Nicole arrived home, she got out of the car and immediately realized her forty-three-year-old husband, Scott Mayhew, was in a dire situation.

Scott had become trapped underneath his Ford Explorer after it slipped off the jack and crushed him. He had been trapped for over an hour, attempting to call for help. But somehow, Scott knew his wife would come to the rescue:

“I just knew if I hung on long enough, my prayers would be answered and she would know to come home.”

Quick to take action, Nicole and a neighbor helped lift the car off of Scott’s chest and then called 911.

Chad Pate, one of the paramedics who was first to arrive at the scene, said had it not been for Nicole coming home, the outcome could have been much different.

He said:“I really think with her coming home as fast as she did in the time that she did, he could have lost his life had he been under the car much longer than that.”

Scott attributes his survival to his wife’s amazing intuition. In the end, Nicole said that Scott’s life was saved because God was looking out for their family:

“I think God was watching us that day.
“I’m so thankful for that.”
According to reports, Scott suffered six broken ribs and internal injuries, but is expected to make a full recovery.
