A 4-year-old child jumped into the driver’s seat of a Dodge van outside a day care center and put the vehicle in reverse or neutral — seriously injuring a 2-year-old boy standing behind it in the head.
The swift child had reportedly slipped into the front seat as a caretaker was strapping seat belts on other children.
The victim was rushed to Richmond Medical Center in serious but stable condition.
