Tragedy Strikes 10-Year-Old Girl After Riding 55mph Rollercoaster

A 10-year-old California girl, Jasmine Martinez, died after riding a 113ft rollercoaster. She lost consciousness a day after hitting speeds of 55mph on the looping ride Revolution, which features the world’s first full vertical loop.

She died on Saturday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre, a day after she was found unconscious, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County coroner’s office said. She was airlifted to Northridge Hospital Medical Center Friday afternoon and later transferred to Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles.

The cause of her death has not yet been determined and officials said there is no evidence that the rollercoaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain in California was at fault.
