The Daily Mail reports:

Rapper and father George Moss is being praised by mothers across the country after he shared a selfie of himself cleaning his wife Michelle’s breast pumps.

The 32-year-old from Grand Rapids, Michigan, snapped the photo while on tour, writing: ‘If you ever wonder what #rappers do when they get off stage, they clean breast pumps for their wives so their baby can eat.

The candid snapshot has received nearly 45,000 likes since it was posted on Monday, with many people applauding George for being a fantastic dad and husband.

However, George was quick to note that hes doesn’t deserve all the attention he is getting for being an attentive husband.

‘You are the real hero for actually pumping,’ he wrote back. ‘I’m getting too much credit for cleaning a couple bottles and suction thingies.’

While the response to George’s photos has been overwhelmingly positive, some people felt his words were intended to make mothers who don’t breastfeed feel inadequate.

‘Messages like this perpetuate the guilt that mothers who aren’t able or choose not to breast feed have to endure. Ellie Greatorex wrote. ‘Plus “Sacrifice” ….. Really? Every mother everyday makes sacrifices for her child. Breastfeeding is great yes but don’t make it out to be the be all and end all to motherhood!’

George later commented on his own post to apologize to Ellie and the others who misconstrued his words, noting that it was never his intention to make it seem like women who don’t breast feed are ‘less’ of a mother.

‘I salute ALL mothers, fathers, and anyone looking out for the best interest of children (and their fellow man/woman),’ he added.
