Dad & 2 Kids Savagely Attacked By Girlfriend’s Dog

A hero dad, Brave Steve Deas, 49, suffered serious injuries after being savaged by his girlfriend’s pet boxer dog as he tried to protect his two young daughter and son. They are all said to be in the hospital.

According to Mirror UK, he is believed to have suffered face, leg and arm wounds as he desperately tried to protect his son and daughter from the attacking animal on a walk.

It is also feared his younger child, seven-year-old Adam, may have had part of an ear bitten off during the horrific onslaught while his big sister, Kara, 9, suffered bites to her face, legs and arms.

Police said last night that they were investigating the incident, which happened in a field at Aberlemno, Angus, at about 5.30pm on Thursday, and confirmed that the dog involved was now dead.

A neighbour, Ronnie Young, said he understood the dog had been smothered to death by another neighbour who went to the family’s assistance.

He said: “I think they managed to overcome it by force of numbers. I didn’t know about it until it was all over. As far as I know, one of the three boxers in the house was involved – the other two were not. It bit the girl and then bit the boy and the father was injured trying to defend his children. It’s a very sad incident. It’s one of these nasty things that can happen but I’ve never heard of a boxer attacking anyone, the animal must have flipped. As far as I know, it’s the boy who is the one who has been badly injured. He has been bitten in two or three places. From what I’ve been told, the other two, the girl and her dad, are not so serious. People keep themselves to themselves here but I knew Steve as I would meet him walking his Rottweiler. He was very pleasant and his dog is the sweetest, nicest Rottweiler you could meet.”
