See How Dad Fuelled 19-Month-Old Son’s Addiction to Boozing

A photo of a Chongqing toddler seemingly downing a bottle of beer has sparked anger online after being released on Tuesday morning by China Central Television (CCTV).

According to reports, the 19-month-old boy, called Tangtang, doesn’t stop drinking once he gets hold of a beer bottle, and can down half a beer in one go.

His 31-year-old father told reporters that he had once offered a few drops of beer to the child during a family gathering, and the baby appeared to have “gotten drunk”.

In the following few months, the father continued to offer his son beers, white whines and red wines.

He said he believed this would “foster the child’s courage” but now feels guilty about getting him addicted to alcohol.
