See What Scorned Wife Did to Hubby After Discovering Affair With 18-Year-Old

A scorned wife, Maria Addis, knocked her husband over with her car, screaming ‘she’s only 18,’ after discovering his affair with a teenage girl who was once his pupil, Lucy Gill.

According to DailyMail, after shouting at her husband in the street near their home in Church’s Village, Pontypridd, the 34-year-old knocked him over with her Chevrolet, leaving him writhing around on the ground as he clutched his leg.

Mrs Addis, a charity worker, admitted dangerous driving at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court after claiming she did not want to ‘air her dirty laundry in public.’

Earlier, the court heard how Mrs Addis lost her temper when her husband demanded she give him back his mobile phone because he did not want her to discover ‘certain messages’ on it.

She was seen arguing with her him in the street in Glynoch near Pontypridd, screaming out about Miss Gill’s age before pushing him in to a bush and locking herself in the family car.

Mr Addis is then said to have stood in front of the vehicle with his arms outstretched.

At this, his estranged wife nudged the vehicle towards him, knocking him over, the court heard.

The PE teacher fell to the ground and ‘groaned’, clutching one leg.

Defending Jeremy Jenkins said the situation ‘got the better of’ the mother-of-two.’  

‘Things got out of hand against a background where Addis was seeking to get the truth from her husband about an extra marital affair with a former pupil. It was a misjudgment to move the car forward in the direction of her former husband. But it was brought about by the circumstances that prevailed at the time,’ he told the court.

The mother-of-two was fined £500 and was given seven penalty points on her driver’s licence by a judge who described the incident as ‘stupid’.

Mr Addis and Miss Gill are understood to have been in a relationship for more than a year. Neither wished to comment on the case.
