Schoolgirl Becomes Britain’s Youngest Mum After Falling Pregnant At 11
A primary schoolgirl became the youngest mother in Britain after falling pregnant by her then 13-year-old boyfriend at the age of 11.
The unidentified girl, now 13, gave birth to a daughter who weighed 7lbs last year at 12 and returned to school within six weeks of giving birth.
The girl and her boyfriend lived in the same block of flats in North London and had been a couple for more than a year before the pregnancy.
A source told The Sun that the 13-year-old mum, thought to be doing well at school, is still ‘madly in love’ with her baby’s father, now 15, although they don’t live together as they are still ‘too young’.
The pair have the lowest combined age of any British parents on record.
The girl’s mother, who also has a four-year-old daughter and 9-year-old son, was a teenage mother herself, and is now one of Britain’s youngest grandmothers at only 28.
