Meet A Mum & Her Giant Kids Who Tower Over Their Peers

Bianca Brouwers and her daughters have a rare condition that has led to them having long limbs making them tower over their peers.

With a combined height of almost 30 FEET, a mother and her three daughters are believed to be one of Britain’s tallest families.

Bianca Brouwers and her daughters Leah, 12, Emma, six, and Lexi, four, all have Marfan syndrome, a rare condition that leads to abnormally long and slender limbs. Her son Remy, 15, is the only member of the family without the genetic disorder.

“Us girls dwarf him,” Bianca said. At 6ft 3in, I’m the tallest of the bunch. Leah is not even a teenager yet but she’s already 5ft 9. Emma is only young, but she towers over all her classmates at 4ft 2” and Lexi wears clothes for kids twice her age.”

According to the NHS, Marfan syndrome affects around 1 in every 3,000 people. The condition is incurable, so treatment focuses more on managing symptoms, which include loose, flexible joints and occasionally a curved spine.

Now, Lexi is almost 4ft tall and wears clothes designed for eight to nine year olds. Her conditions mean she may never be able to fully walk and talk.

“It’s heartbreaking to think I might never hear her call me mummy, but she has reached other milestones,” said Bianca. She can pull herself up onto furniture, and is looking forward to starting school. Even though she can’t speak, she’s always giggling and has made loads of friends. We’re all so proud of her. We call her our big little girl.
