How Edo Lawmaker’s Daughter Allegedly Schemed With Lover to Extort Dad

Jessica Edionwele, 24, daughter of an Edo state lawmaker thought to have been kidnapped last week, has reportedly been found. She was allegedly found at her boyfriend’s house on Sunday evening by policemen.

According to ThisDay, Jessica left Ibadan, Oyo State, where she was observing the compulsory national service last week Wednesday for Lagos where she boarded a flight to Abuja. Upon her arrival, she took an airport taxi to an unknown destination, leaving family and friends apprehensive about her safety.

She then allegedly gave her dad’s phone number to a supposed ‘abductor’ who told him to pay a ransom if he wanted his daughter back alive.

This was reported to the FCT Police who kicked off a search for the supposedly abducted lady. Fortunately, the search birthed a productive result yesterday evening when Jessica was found and arrested alongside her ‘abductor.’

A police source said Jessica had left Abuja airport for her boyfriend’s house in Amac, Lugbe, on Wednesday, where they both agreed to extort money from her dad through the schemed kidnap.

The source added: “We got the information of where she was hiding from someone who had seen Jessica in the neighborhood and afterwards alerted the police, and both of them were seen and arrested in Lugbe.”
